What is the construction of the sofas?

All Build-Your-Sofa.com products are made from select hardwoods, kiln dried wood, and engineered hardwood. The springs are tied together for durability and stability. Our sofa frames are guaranteed to be free from defects for the life of the sofa.

Can I put a pull out bed in a sectional or in a sofa or loveseat?

Yes! And it is a great addition. We can fit a full or queen bed in even the smallest of sectionals. Our design staff will help you work it out.

Are upgrade fabrics more durable or better quality?

In general, upgrade fabrics are more expensive only because they cost more from our supplying mills. You will find that many upgrade fabrics have many different colors of threads and are in many ways like a tapestry. They are not more durable than regular grade fabrics (in reality the opposite is true because most micro fiber fabrics are regular grade). Upgrade fabrics may add between 25-60% to the cost of the sofa, most are 25-35% more. Upgrade fabrics tend to be produced for shorter periods of time than the regular grade fabrics, so they may not be available in a year or two if you want to add another piece.

How long does it take to complete my custom order?

We quote 2-3 weeks. The only issue that will slow an order is if we can not readily source the fabric from the mill. This is usually only an issue on upgrade fabrics, and then only rarely. Regular grade fabrics are almost always in stock.

Do you deliver?

No we don’t.  In order to keep our prices extremely low, we try to cut out as many expenses as we can.  One big expense is a delivery truck, we don’t have a truck payment, registration fees, upkeep, and insurance, etc.  We do contract out to a couple of local delivery companies.  They charge for deliveries, but it is very reasonable.  Local deliveries (Stockton) are usually $30-40.  Outside of Stockton would be a little more, depending on what city the delivery is going to. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Warranty Information

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in your Sofa or Sectional frame. If your Sofa frame fails due to a manufacturing defect we will repair or replace the piece at our discretion. Replacement of one piece does not automatically constitute the replacement of the other piece(s). This limited warranty is provided to the original purchaser at the original place of delivery. It is not transferable. The warranty covers the frame. It does not cover normal wear and use of the seats, springs and fabric. Foam, springs, and fabrics will have a limited life span that depends greatly on use by the consumer. This warranty does not cover these items, except in the case of immediate and complete breakdown of foam seat and back cushions within the first year, or spring breakage in the same one year period.

This warranty does not apply to furniture intentionally misused, or to damage resulting from negligence, exposure, rental or commercial use, improper cleaning, or other unreasonable use, or to fabric damage or failure due to additional chemical treatment, improper cleaning, or when heavy soiling, pet hair or abuse is evident. These warranties are not transferable.

In The Event Of Defects

Report any defects promptly to Build-Your-Sofa.com with proof of purchase. If a needed repair is covered under the warranty, covered repairs will be completed within a reasonable amount of time. If a product is indeed damaged, the original purchaser is responsible for costs incurred in shipping the piece to the warehouse.

To the original retail purchaser, we extend protection against abnormal loss of resiliency of the upholstered furniture for 1 year, as long as it is used under normal wear and other normal conditions.  Abnormal wear and abnormal loss of resiliency should not be confused with softening and flattening of the foam and fibers, which are considered normal wear, and are not defects. Compressing of polyurethane foam with use is not considered loss of resiliency.
